Information sharing
protocol to tackle anti-social behaviour
We have signed a landmark protocol
with other organisations to share information in order to tackle
crime and anti-social behaviour more effectively.
A variety of organisations have signed the scheme,
including the police, probation, health and housing
associations
The protocol provides partners with a legal
framework and a common standard for sharing information to
help:
- prevent and detect crime
- the apprehension and prosecution of offenders
- protection of life and property
- licensing and vetting and assisting the public
Information that could be exchanged include details of:
- crimes and statistics
- offenders and victims
- neighbour disputes
- racial and homophobic incidents
- vandalism
- evictions
- truancy
- fly tipping
- traffic accidents
- drug-taking
- alcohol and substance misuse
- incidents of arson
