HWCDS will look at your list of
items for disposal and check that the items are packed

After they are satisfied, their contractor will arrange a
mutually convenient date and time for collection by
telephone.
The contractor will give at least 24 hours notice. Immediately
prior to collection, you should ensure that it is stored in a safe
place close to vehicular access and where the distance our
contractor has to carry it is kept to a minimum.
If you have more than one container you must provide assistance
with loading.

Special Waste Regulations 1996
The Hazardous Waste Collection Service will complete the
statutory notification requirements for carriage and disposal of
your waste. On receipt of your waste you will be asked to sign a
multi-part form, either a transfer note (Householders) or a
consignment note (Boroughs, Schools and Registered Charities). You
must check to see that the details written on this form are correct
before signing it.
Subject to there being no breach of HWCDS requirements and
provided you (or your representative) have signed the
Collection/Delivery Note, title to the waste and responsibility for
its disposal pass to HWCDS. A copy of the transfer/consignment note
will be given to you after the transfer of the waste. You should
note that under the terms of the Regulations you are required to
keep your copy of the form for at least two years.
