We offer a free service to remove
large or bulky household waste that will not fit into your refuse
container from in front of your home.
'To continue to offer residents free collection of up to six items
of bulky waste, when other councils are charging for this

We are unable to collect the following waste items:
- Green waste - grass cuttings, leaves, prunings

How many items do you collect?
We aim to collect up to six household items at any
one time, free of charge. Items can include bagged household waste
that would overfill your refuse container.
When will you collect my bulky waste?
We will collect your bulky waste items within two working
days of receiving your request. This excludes bank
holidays and festive periods.
Where should I put my bulky waste?
Please ensure that you leave your items outside your home within
the confines of your front garden or communal bin area
prior to booking the collection.
Remember, it is an offence and a possible health risk to discard
rubbish on the pavement.
Can I get rid of my waste myself?
Residents of Newham can use the
Jenkins Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre (RRC) to reuse, recycle
and dispose of a wide range of items. Commercial waste is accepted
at the site for a fee. For more information on current charges,
