Environmental Permit
Consultation
All substantial change
applications made to the Local Authority by local industrial
processes are available for public consultation. We will consider
your comments during the consultation period as set out
below.
There are currently no applications open for
consultation.
An application for varying an environmental permit can arise due
to a change in an operation which will impact on the current
operating conditions relating to the control of pollution. This
application process is administered according to the Environmental
Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 and the Pollution
Prevention and Control Act 1999.
Excluding matters of commercial confidentiality and national
security, all applications for permits, variations, correspondence
and permit documents (including permits and inspections) are
available through the
public register. This register is administered by the Pollution
Control Unit at Newham Council and available for free inspection
during our normal office hours.
The full permit application documents will be placed on our public
register. Summary information is provided here.
Any written comments you make on the applications will be placed
on the public register unless they include a statement requesting
that this is not done. If there is such a request the register
itself will just include a note that representations have been made
which are not on the register because of such a request. Please
ensure your name and address accompanies any representation
make.
