Orange bag doorstep
recycling scheme
Most residents will have received
a new 180 litre wheeled recycling bin, which has a larger capacity
and replaces the orange bags. If you haven't received a new wheeled
recycling bin, you should continue to use the orange bags until
further notice.
Type of bags
There are two sizes of bags available to you:
- Small bags for flats with chutes -
Residents living in medium to high-rise blocks (four stories and
over) with chutes will be given small "shopping-bag sized" orange
bags. These orange bags can be placed down the chutes along with
your refuse. Please take care not to overfill the bags and block
the chutes.
- Regular sized bags - For residents who have
their own wheelie bin or access to a communal bin room.
-
- If you have a wheelie bin, please place your orange bag
securely alongside it on the boundary of your property by 6am on
the morning of your collections.
- If you use a communal bin room, your orange bag can be placed
directly into the communal refuse bins and are separated at a later
stage, there are no separate recycling
bins.
