Castle Point water supply failure

Newham Council apologises to the residents of Castle Point in Plaistow South for the distress and inconvenience caused by the loss of water supply.

On Thursday 7 March 2019 council workers, responding to an emergency call-out, discovered flooding in the basement area of the flats. The flooding has caused the water pump to fail, stopping the water supply to the block.

Council officers are delivering bottled water to Castle Point until the issue is resolved.

Council workers are visiting the site in order to investigate the nature of the failure and the steps needed to restore water supply to the building.

The lifts remain operational on all 11 stories of the building and the basement is the only floor impacted by the flooding.

For any further assistance whilst we restore water to your home, please contact Newham Council on 020 8430 2000.
