Coca-Cola Zero ParkLives rolls out across ten Newham parks

Sir Robin Wales Mayor of Newham and Boris Johnson, Mayor of London launched a programme of fun, free activities in Newham’s parks this summer in partnership with Coca-Cola Great Britain.

They attended an event in Stratford Park which marked the start of the summer holiday programme of Coca-Cola Zero ParkLives sessions in the borough.

The programme offers people daily, timetabled activity sessions in ten parks across the borough. Stratford Park is just one the participating Newham parks which will host the summer-long programme.

Hundreds of people turned up to take part in the free activities on offer, with soft ball sessions, Zumba , salsa and boxing classes on offer.

Sir Robin Wales Mayor of Newham said: “It is great to see so many local people here today, having fun and taking part in physical activity. We’ve seen an increase in the amount of our residents becoming more physically active and this initiative with Coca-Coal Zero will enable us to provide more opportunities for our residents to take part in a range of differing sports and help them to live healthier and more active lifestyles.”
