The venues and fixtures for the 2016 Four Nations tournament have now been confirmed with England returning to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to take on current World Cup holders Australia on Sunday November 13 (3.30pm). The day will be action packed with entertainment for the full family to enjoy.
Following on from the success of their International Series win against New Zealand, who are ranked No.1 in the world, England will be looking to beat their southern hemisphere rivals when the two teams meet for the first time in two years on home soil.

England captain Sean O’Loughlin, said: “To get the opportunity to play in the famous surroundings of Olympic Stadium with England again this year is fantastic. The squad love playing in the nation’s capital and this time it will be against Australia. Our games against each other are usually high in intensity and action packed.

“The support we got at the Olympic Park in 2015 was outstanding. Returning in 2016 gives myself and the squad a real boost knowing we’ll be playing the biggest games on the biggest stages.”

The Rugby Football League and Newham Council have come together to offer Newham residents some fantastic ticket offers for the England v Australia fixture. Residents can receive up to 50 per cent off group rates, 25 per cent off Category 4 adult tickets or £5 off adult tickets in any other category.

Sir Robin Wales Mayor of Newham, said: “After the success of Rugby World Cup 2015, where everyone embraced the spirit of the tournament and rugby in general, we are looking forward to seeing rugby return to the Olympic Park.

“This offer will enable as many of our residents to see world-class sport on their doorstep and help cement the former Olympic Stadium as the leading multi-use venue in the country.”

Six venues will be used during this year’s Four Nations – the second biggest international Rugby League tournament to come to the UK in five years – with the final being played at one of the most iconic stadiums in world sport, Anfield.

England’s opening game will be against familiar opposition in the form of New Zealand at Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday October 29. The Kiwis will be looking to avenge last year’s Series loss to the Wall of White and retain the top spot in the world rankings.

Breaking new ground, Ricoh Arena in Coventry will host its first-ever international Rugby League event since opening in 2005 on Saturday November 5 when England meet Scotland and Australia play rivals New Zealand in an international double-header at the 32,609-seater stadium.

Newham residents can claim their discounted tickets by visiting and using the promo code NEWHAM at checkout to receive their discount or call the Rugby League Ticket Hotline on 0844 856 1113. Email for group enquiries or bookings.
