Consultation on the review and revisions of the council's statement of gambling policy

In accordance with the provisions of the Gambling Act and the Regulations made thereunder, the Council for the London Borough of Newham gives notice that it is currently reviewing its Gambling Policy.
​The Gambling Policy sets out the principles that the Council will apply in exercising its functions as the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005. Comments are invited as part of the public consultation process on the Policy and principles stated therein.

The revised policy contains significant new sections on local area risk assessments and local area profiles as well as a number of other amendments.

The draft revised Gambling Policy will be available for inspection, from Monday 5 November 2018 at:
  • ​the offices of the Licensing Team, 1st Floor, Town Hall Annexe,330-354 Barking Road, East Ham, London E6 2RT (Tel: 020 3373 1032), Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.45pm
  • all public libraries

Any comments upon the draft Policy must be received by the Licensing Team by 31 December 2018.
