You don’t need to bring anything specific when you visit the pharmacy. The pharmacist will take some personal details, and they may ask where you heard about the scheme.

The pharmacist will never contact you via phone, email or post and your participation is 100% confidential.

Newham residents aged 16-24 can claim up to 24 free condoms (12 per visit) every month from any of the pharmacies listed above.

If you would like to speak with someone face-to-face, Shine drop-in clinics are for young people aged 24 and under, including people under the age of 16. There is no need for an appointment.

Shine provides:
  • contraception, including long-acting reversible methods, condoms and the c-card
  • sexually transmitted infection testing for people without symptoms (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis)
  • chlamydia treatment
  • pregnancy tests
  • termination referral and emergency contraception.
