The Newham Carnival

The Newham Carnival 2018.

The Newham Carnival

The Newham Carnival is always a vibrant display of colourful costumes, dance and music created by schools and community groups throughout the borough. More than 2,500 participants including 2,000 school children took part in last year’s event with thousands more lining the streets cheering them on.

The theme for this year’s parade is “The Circus Cavalcade” to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the circus. The glitz and glamour of the circus has thrilled audiences across Britain for more than 200 years, bringing an irresistible combination of beauty, skill and danger.

This year’s parade will take place on Saturday 7 July and will make its way through High Street South, High Street North, Ron Leighton Way and Barking Road, departing from Rancliffe Road at 2pm.
