It gives a clearer focus to our main priorities aimed at benefiting the borough, and shows what we need to do over the next few years.

Sustainable Community Strategy 2012

The 2012 version of the Sustainable Community Strategy builds on our  existing 2010 Strategy. We rewrote the Strategy to reflect our commitment to resilience.

In the 2012 version of the Strategy, we have also added to the results we want to achieve through the Newham Partnership and how we plan to achieve them.

We look at the main priorities of residents and our local partners every year using surveys and consultations. The Sustainable Community Strategy will help us to:
  • review our progress to deliver better and more comprehensive services to residents
  • confirm our commitment to delivering our vision and
  • make sure we have the plans in place to deliver it.
