Get involved with activity days
Be a farmer and care for a pony days
Children aged 8–12 can take come and be a farmer for a day, or join us for a care for a pony day. Both offer the chance to get to know the animals and get involved in taking care of them and learning all about. These days are a great way to keep active in the holidays and are held during the school holidays and half-term.
We can also provide farm experience days tailored for adults.

Care farming
Newham City Farm's Care Farming Service is a therapeutic programme of support that uses farming, including animal care and gardening, to benefit adults with a variety of learning needs, health conditions, social barriers and disabilities.
We work closely with people, their parents and carers, to tailor a package that will enable them to thrive within the calming farm environment.
Care farming offers people the chance to:
- Attend weekly sessions at Newham City Farm supported by a qualified member of staff
- Carry out a range of farm related tasks in a positive and focused training environment
- Develop new transferable skills
- Meet new people and develop confidence and self-esteem.
