Newham has a number of lovely parks and open spaces to explore including a number of self-led walking routes that have been mapped across the following parks to help keep you active. Just follow the leaf signs!

The Line
The Line is London’s first dedicated public art walk. Connecting three boroughs (Newham, Tower Hamlets and Greenwich) and following the Greenwich Meridian, it runs between the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2. The Line features an evolving programme of art installations (loans and commissioned works), projects and events, illuminating an inspiring landscape where everyone can explore art, nature and heritage for free. https://the-line.org/

Free Wellbeing Walks in Newham
The Line hosts a weekly wellbeing walk for anyone who may benefit from spending time outdoors. Aiming to improve wellbeing, these free, slow-paced guided walks explore the wildlife, art and heritage along The Line in Newham. Come and join a friendly group of walkers in your local area and boost your wellbeing!
When: 11am on Thursdays
Start: meet at the outside seating area at Jim & Tonic at The Print House, 133 High Street, E15 2RB
End: the finishes at The House Mill at around 12pm, with complimentary tea or coffee
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Set across hundreds of acres, there’s lots to explore at the Park. To help you make the most of your experience, there are five fantastic trails that give you the chance to take in the many sights and sounds of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

ActiveNewham are delivering a number of weekly and fortnightly walks led by trained walk leaders and supported by Newham’s volunteers. The free walks take in Newham’s rich and diverse heritage and history, showcasing the old and new, from old town halls and listed buildings, to new infrastructure and progressive developments.
