Coronavirus information and advice for residents

Test and Trace

The NHS Test and Trace programme which aims to contain the spread of coronavirus is now available.

If you have a fever, continuous cough or loss of smell or taste, you should self-isolate for at least seven days and order a test. Anyone else in your household should also self-isolate for 14 days from when you began showing symptoms.

You can order a test by calling 119 or you can request a test online.

Order a test

Once you request a test, you will be asked to attend a test site or carry out a test at home. Results should be available within 48 hours. If the result is negative, you and your household can come out of self-isolation. If your result is positive, you and your household must complete your self-isolation. You will be contacted by contact tracers and asked to provide details of people you have been within two metres of for more than 15 minutes without protective equipment.
