Covid-19 vaccination

How to get your Covid-19 vaccine

Where to get your vaccine

If you are under 16 years old

Pfizer/BioNTech is the only vaccine approved for under 18 year olds. You will receive an invite with details of how to book your vaccine. This will either be via your school or at a GP or hospital clinic.

If you are 16-17 years old

Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are approved for anyone 16 years old or older. You can walk into pharmacies (see below), any community based pop-up clinic (see the weekly schedule below) or any of the vaccination centres listed here without an appointment (no need to book).

You do not need to attend with a parent/guardian, but please bring proof of age.

For further information, view our frequently asked questions (PDF) on vaccines for families of 16-17 year olds.

If you are 18 years and over

There are lots of places across Newham where you can get your vaccination. If you are under 40 years old you should attend a Pfizer or Moderna clinic.

Most clinics accept walk-ins subject to vaccine availability and you may be asked to wait.

Note: We are unable to provide your second vaccine less than 8 weeks after your first vaccine. If you try to get your second vaccine dose before 8 weeks, your appointment may be cancelled and you will be turned away from a vaccination clinic.
