Coronavirus updates for recycling, waste and bin collections

Rubbish bin collections

The service is changing on a daily basis. Collection days may change due to bank holidays and staff shortages. Please make sure your bins are accessible to the crews.

Households that are self isolating should follow the government's 'Stay at home' advice which states:

  • Store personal waste, such as used tissues and disposable cleaning cloths, within disposable rubbish bags.
  • Place these bags into a second bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste.
  • These bags should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual external general waste bin.

Other household waste can be disposed of as normal.

Bulky waste items

Bulky waste service re-instated but it may take longer to collect your items. We aim to collect within 5 working days, but please make sure your items are placed out straight after booking.

Green waste collection

Operating as normal.

Commercial waste bags

Operating as normal.

Delivery of domestic bins and recycling bins
