Employment and Enterprise Action Board
The Employment and Enterprise Partnership Action Board, brings together organisations and businesses in Newham to work with us in promoting business growth and access to jobs in the borough.
Responsibilities
The board’s work includes:
- Co-ordinating local plans and initiatives for training, employment and business growth; developing these by talking to employers
- Improving and simplifying the way organisations and businesses work together in the borough
- Identifying local job and business opportunities and making sure these are available to local people
- Contributing to the achievement of national targets to tackle unemployment
- Receiving quarterly performance reports, managing performance and problem solving and reporting to the Public Service Board and the Newham Partnership Board on areas of concern.
- Working with the Public Service Board to beat problems and identify solutions to improving employment and business growth
- Identifying important issues and emerging trends, share information, develop a shared approach and working together on employment and business growth initiatives
- Deciding what other responsibilities the board wishes to pursue.
