Cancel your permit
Please note, the temporary changes to parking arrangements implemented from 24 March, 2020 as a consequence of Covid-19 do not result in an automatic refund for permits.
For the avoidance of doubt unless the normal conditions for cancelling a permit are met, Newham will not be offering refunds for all permit types.
If you have moved out of a Newham residential parking zone, disposed of or sold your vehicle, you must return your parking permit to us for cancellation.

Please note that we do not issue refunds for temporary permits as outlined in our terms and conditions.
Please do not use this form if you have changed your vehicle, number plate/registration or address. To update your permit with any changes you will need to email the relevant details to [email protected]. See further instructions on our change of details page.
Once you have submitted your application, you must return the original permit to us before we can complete the cancellation process and issue any refund you may be due. It is strongly advisable to return your permit to us via recorded delivery as we take no responsibility for permits lost in the post.
The eligible refund amount is calculated on how many full calendar months remain on the permit from the date we receive it, minus a £5 administration fee. We will refund you the remaining value if it is above, or equal to, £10. The refund will be issued to the debit or credit card used to purchase the permit.
