Business parking permit
If you run a registered business from a commercial address in Newham, you may be eligible for a business parking permit. With a business parking permit, you can park in permit holders only bays and shared use bays within any of our residential parking zones.
You can’t apply for a business parking permit if you run a business from a residential address.

Renew a business parking permit
It is important to make sure that you keep an eye out for when your permit is expiring. If you display an expired permit, you may be issued with a penalty charge notice.
In the event that you have not renewed your permit on time, please park your vehicle legally whilst you are waiting for your renewed permit.
Newham Council require 10 working days to process your permit and post it out to you. However, you can renew your permit up to four weeks before its expiry date.
Cost of a business parking permit
From April 2020, for a temporary period, we will only be offering business permits for three months or for six months, while we move to a ‘virtual’ (paperless) permit system.
Change of circumstances
If you have a permit, you must tell us if you change your vehicle or address.
You must also tell us if you no longer need your permit.
