How to pay your fixed penalty notice 

If you received a fixed penalty notice issued by enforcement agents operating on behalf of the council, go to their website.

The fixed penalty notice reference number will start with LAS followed by a 9 digit number. These cannot be paid through the methods below.

You cannot pay an officer at the time you are given a fixed penalty notice. There are a number of ways you can choose to pay the fine, which are listed below. Officers cannot accept any form of payment. 

Online 

You can pay online using a debit or credit card. Simply enter your fixed penalty notice number, confirm the details and move on to making a payment. 

Note: You may have to wait up to 24 hours after the crime before you can pay the fine online. 

Pay a Fixed Penalty Notice

In person 

You can pay at any post office or PayPoint location, using cash or a debit or credit card.  

By phone 

You can pay over the phone using a credit or debit card. Simply call 020 8430 2000, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. 

We will ask you: 

  • Who issued the notice (officer's name and number)
  • The fixed penalty notice number
  • The date of issue
  • The code of the offence.

Appealing against a fixed penalty notice 

You cannot appeal against a fixed penalty notice. If you choose not to pay the FPN, you are choosing for your case to be heard in court. If you are found guilty, you could face a larger fine and receive a criminal conviction.
