Anti-bullying policies and support

Bullying prevention in Newham schools

We take bullying very seriously. As the local education authority we grade our schools’ anti-bullying policies using guidelines drawn up by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

We are a member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Stonewall and we pass their recommendations and research on to our schools.

Each school’s anti-bullying policy sets out what it does to prevent bullying.

Ofsted looks at the school’s anti-bullying and behaviour policies and talks to pupils about bullying in its inspections.
