LGBT History Month

Every February, across the country, LGBT History Month helps to provide role models, build communities, and represents a civil rights statement about the contributions of the LGBT+ community.
This month-long annual observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements has the overall aim of promoting equality and diversity for the benefit of the public.

In Newham this February, to support LGBT History Month, we are putting together a series of events and activities across the borough.

Poetry, Prose and Plays is the national theme for this year's LGBT History Month.
