Changes to School Term and Holiday Dates 2023 - 24
The Local Authority has revised the dates for School Term and Holiday Dates 2023 – 2024. This is due to new information that has emerged in relation to the dates agreed by neighbouring boroughs, and views received from schools. The changes relate to 1) the mid-term of autumn 2023 and 2) spring break 2024.
Governing Bodies will decide on whether to agree these revised dates. Individual school dates will vary, so please check the school website for the dates at specific schools.
The key changes are:
- The mid-term of autumn 2023 to be adjusted from Monday 30 October to Friday 3 November to Monday 23 – Friday 27 October 2023, to align with neighbouring boroughs.
- The spring break 2024 to be adjusted from Monday 25 March – Friday 5 April 2024, to Friday 29 March – Friday 12 April 2024. This is to incorporate Eid-ul-Fitr, predicted to fall on Tuesday 9 – Wednesday 10 April 2024.
