Newham Council is proud to mark Islamophobia Awareness Month, with a programme of in-person and virtual events.
The month seeks to highlight the threat of Islamophobic hate crime as well as showcasing the positive contributions of British Muslims to society.
This year's unified theme for Islamophobia Awareness Month is #TimeForChange
Islamophobia Awareness Month events include:
- Virtual guided tour of the award winning Cambridge Central Mosque followed by a Q&A session with their expert guide. Visit the eventbrite site to book a place.
- Screening of the Emmy Award winning documentary film, The Trials of Muhammad Ali, directed by American producer and director Bill Siegel. Visit the eventbrite site to book a place.
- Radio presenter and World Hijab Day UK Ambassador, Shreen Mahmood, will host an entertaining evening with a variety of performances from storytelling to music, dance, spoken word poetry and much more. Visit the eventbrite site to book a place.
