We organise work experience placements for Year 10 and 11 students directly with the schools. We also run a work experience programme through Our Newham Work for job seekers.
The school’s work experience co-ordinator will have information on the specific placements we offer.
A placement will help develop a young person’s skills in:
- Communication
- Information technology
- Problem solving
- Working with others
- Decision making.
Children will work the normal working hours of the organisation and they will be expected to provide their own lunch.
Job seekers work experience
Our work experience programme, which is run through Our Newham Work, can help you to gain skills and experience to improve your chances of employment.
The programme can introduce you to a network of employers and give you access to a range of training and employment opportunities in areas such as administration, retail, customer service and health and social care.
