Habitat Area 2: Jersey Tiger Moth

You’ll be able to spot nettles on the bank down to the Memorial Recreation Ground, a key species which helps the Jersey Tiger Moth.

Focus Species: Jersey Tiger Moth

Keep your eyes peeled for this special moth with creamy white strips on its forewing and bold orange underwings. It flies both in the daytime, when it can be found feeding on various flowers, as well as at night, when it’s attracted to light.

Their main flight period is July to September.
