The lift at East Ham Leisure Centre is currently out of order due to a technical failure. Newham Council and activeNewham are working with contractors to resolve the issue.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the breakdown of the lift, particularly to customers who are unable to access the gym and studios located on the first floor whilst the lift is out of order.
We are working as quickly as we can to get the lift back into operation and we are currently working to a timescale of 10 working days for repair from today (23 August 2019).
In the meantime East Ham Leisure Centre users are reminded they can use other activeNewham facilities at Newham Leisure Centre and Manor Park Fitness Centre.
Any customers with access needs are advised to contact activeNewham before making a journey to the alternative facilities to make sure there requirements can be met.
