Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz and Newham Council extends sympathy, condolences, and solidarity to the people of Christchurch, New Zealand, following tragic attacks on two mosques overnight.
Since the attacks, the Mayor and the Council have reaffirmed the message that we must all stand up to racism.
The shootings at two mosques in the New Zealand city saw 49 people killed, with many more injured.
Rokhsana Fiaz said: “My thoughts and prayers to the bereaved families and the community of Christchurch, New Zealand, devastated by these unfathomable acts of Muslim hate.”
