Apprenticeships

As an apprentice you can get training and qualifications while you work and earn a salary.

Apprenticeships in the council

An apprenticeship at Newham Council offers Newham residents the opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications while working.

Apprentices earn while they learn during the two year programme and receive support to help them build their confidence and launch a successful career.

They receive off the job training once a week to work towards either a level 2 or 3 qualification related to their job role. They also receive practical experience and work alongside experienced professionals who will help shape their professional development.

To apply you must:
  • be 16 to 30 years of age
  • be a Newham resident and can provide proof of address
  • have right to work documents e.g. passport and proof of National Insurance.
*As an employer, London Borough of Newham is under represented in this age range, compared to the resident population of Newham.

You do not need any formal qualifications to apply for many of our apprenticeships. An English and Maths assessment is part of the recruitment process.
Email apprenticeships@onesource.co.uk if you need help with your application.
