Guy Fawkes Night

This year’s FREE Guy Fawkes Night is back and it’s bigger and better than ever before. The extraordinary architecture of Millennium Mills and historic splendour of the Royal Docks will provide the backdrop to the firework display as it moves to a new location this year.

Event details for 2018

Saturday 3 November
Gates open 6pm
Silvertown Quays, Royal Docks, E16 2BU
(off North Woolwich Road)

A dramatic soundtrack has been chosen to complement the dazzling series of fireworks. The display will open to the sounds of As One by electronic musician and composer Jean Michel Jarre with samples from Come Together by Primal Scream. This track has been specially chosen to mark 30 years since the composer’s Destination Docklands event on the Royal Victoria Dock in October 1988.
The event will also include children’s funfair rides and food stalls plus a bar selling mulled wine and your favourite tipple, while DJ Roberto from HEART FM will keep you dancing all night.
Gates will open at 6pm followed by the display at approximately 7.30pm. Make sure you arrive early to enjoy the other attractions.

In addition to an explosive fireworks display there will be some electrifying performances from Lords of Lightning and Cirque Bijou. Lords of Lightning are a duo who melds creative genius with electrical wizardry to create a breath-taking show called the “Dual”. Cirque Bijou is a group which pushes the boundaries of contemporary circus, street theatre and spectacle, seeking out the new, unexpected and extraordinary. Expect ethereal stilt walkers and beautiful light-up bird puppets, to high-tech pixel poi, dazzling LED hula hoop and unforgettable fire performances.

The site will be artfully lit, illuminating the spectacular post-industrial structure that is Millennium Mills, throwing light on the many facades of the building that was once a hub of Silvertown life.
