Removal of dead animals

We try to remove dead animals from roads, footpaths and other public areas within 24 hours.

Report a dead animal for removal

If you have a smart phone or tablet, you can also report a dead animal when you see it using our Love Newham app.

Dead animals on private land

We can not take dead animals from back gardens. If a dead animal is found at the rear of your property, please bag it and move it to the front of the property where our operatives can access it and remove it.

Report it using the My Newham form or Love Newham app.

If a dead animal is found on non-residential private land and we can get onto the land safely, then we will arrange for the dead animal to be removed. But if we can’t get onto the land, the landowner will have to remove the animal.
