How the application process works
The application process has three stages:
Stage one
The organisation arranging the performance completes the online form and submits the Child Performance Licence request.
We issue an acknowledgement to the organisation explaining next steps.
We send the application details to the child’s parents to confirm they agreed for their child to take part in the performance.
Stage two
The child’s parent(s) return their decision form.
Where the child’s parent(s) advise they do not want their child to take part in the performance, the performance licence process is stopped and the organiser is advised.
Where the child’s parents agrees for the process to proceed we send the third section of the application process to the child’s school for review and a decision.
We issue an acknowledgement to the parent explaining next steps.
Stage three
The child’s school return their decision form.
Where the child’s school advises they do not feel it is appropriate for their pupil to take part in the performance, the performance licence process is stopped and the organiser and the child’s parent(s) are advised.
Where the child’s school agrees for the process to proceed we issue the Child Performance Licence and update all parties on next steps.
