About Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme:
Children and young people aged 4 to 16 (Reception to year 11) who are eligible for free school meals and their families can go to free activities during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
You will be able to see all the activity clubs available here when bookings open in June.
What is our offer?
During the Summer, we will once again be working with a number of schools, sports activity providers and community services to offer a wide range of exciting activities and a daily healthy free meal as part of the government-funded Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF).
Activities include multi sports, dance, music programmes, arts and crafts, drama, cookery sessions and much more, to suit different ages, abilities and interests.
Who can attend a Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) club?
The HAF Programme is for children and young people, from Reception to Year 11 eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) related benefits. You can find out more about, and complete an application form for Free School Meals eligibility here.
Holiday clubs cater for children with low-medium levels of SEN and/or disability and children will be considered by each club on a case-by-case basis. The programme also offers placements at SEND specific clubs which can cater for more severe needs, and can be seen on the booking site.
Please ask the clubs directly about the support they offer.

- Simply click this link to explore all the exciting Clubs and activities during the Summer holidays (will be published in June).
- Filter activities by age and location, but remember you can choose clubs anywhere in Newham!
- Can’t make it? If your child can no longer attend, please cancel or contact the Provider ASAP, so we can offer the space to someone else.
- First come, first served basis – so book early to secure a spot. If a space is full, don’t worry – keep checking, as there may be cancellations!
- You can easily see all the activities, times, and locations on your booking dashboard for quick access and change the language setting to your choice.
