Early Notifications for additional needs

After your baby is born, they will be screened and checked for Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND).

It is vital this happens as early as possible so if your child needs extra or specialist support to help them learn and grow, they can receive it from early in their life.

These checks are performed by the CDS team of the 0-19 Children’s Health team.
