Ensuring your child is having a good amount of sleep is very important for their physical and mental health. It will also help to strengthen their immune system, reducing the risk of illness and infections.  Adequate amounts of sleep also helps improve their behaviour, attention and memory, all of which aids their learning. 

Below are some guidelines on how much sleep your child should be having: 

3 years  

  • Daytime: 0 to 45 minutes  

  • Night-time: 11 hours 30 minutes to 12 hours 

4 years  

  • Night-time: 11 hours 30 minutes
