Feedback from residents is helping to shape and inform the emerging designs for the Sports and Leisure Hub, building on the community vision for Beckton Parks Masterplan. The has enabled the following emerging schemes to be explored for future implementation, subject to funding, including:
- A ‘PlayZone’ (Multi Use Games Area) designed for flexible multi-sport activity by residents and community groups/clubs
- Informal sports and recreation areas encouraging inclusive participation
- Urban play spaces supporting active and creative use in unique spaces
- A new lit pathway with seating, improving accessibility and safety in the park
Further work is underway to bring these schemes forward over a phased period of time. Updates will be made available on Co-create, on a quarterly basis.
