Leasing an empty community building

Background

As part of Newham Council’s wider ambition for a dynamic voluntary sector, we are reimagining how the Council can best utilise community buildings, creating spaces for Newham residents to come together and contribute to an integrated and cohesive society.

Community buildings are at the heart of this approach, and Newham Council endeavour to ensure we have the right organisations in the right spaces, whether it is a community centre, parks building or another council-owned asset.
There are three distinct processes:

  1. Leasing an empty community centre
  2. Leasing an empty parks building
  3. Leasing other council-owned assets
