Leasing an empty community building

Other council owned assets

When a Council property becomes vacant, the property will be advertised with our agent Dobbin & Sullivan. Adverts will be placed on their website, emailed out to subscribers and may include letting boards at the site.

Our agent will also conduct any viewings, carry out due diligence on prospective tenants and receive offers. The Council will then review the offers received with consideration to our obligations under s.123 The Local Government Act to receive best consideration.

Once an offer is accepted, the agent will prepare heads of term for the prospective tenant to sign. Once signed, our solicitors will be instructed to prepare a lease on the terms agreed.

If you are interested in letting premises from the Council, you may wish to register your interest with our agent.
