Get ready to unlock creative talents during lockdown
Newham Council has some exciting opportunities and big plans to unleash the creativity that is bubbling away in Newham and to unlock the artistic talents of all the borough’s people, but especially the younger generation.
As part of the Council’s new arts, culture and heritage programme, Newham Unlocked, we are launching a programme of creativity online, starting with a series of weekly Newham Unlocked community broadcasts in June that will give you the chance to use creativity to document life during Covid-19 lockdown. Be ready to showcase your amazing talents and explore what role creativity is playing during these challenging times.
If you want to give us a quick cooking demonstration, play an instrument, sing a song on your own or record a mass virtual choir, or read a poem, we’ll be inviting you to film a short clip of it and send it in to give everyone a glimpse of what Newham has been creating behind closed doors.
We’ll be looking for a whole range of different ideas and clips each week that we can edit together and bring you a different selection of clips each week. More details will be published soon so watch this space and be ready for when we ask you to send in your clips.
