This November, Newham Council presents Flip the Script, a powerful programme of events marking Islamophobia Awareness Month from 1-30 November. Through workshops, performances, exhibitions, and community gatherings, the programme explores themes of identity and belonging. Highlights include creative sessions with artist Alaa Alsaraji, storytelling with Khayaal Theatre, a comedy evening, and community-led exhibition. The month closes with a gathering focused on solidarity and reflection.
The programme opens with Mic'd Up Muslims, an unforgettable evening of stand-up comedy featuring five of the UK’s funniest Muslim comedians: Salman Malik, Farhan Solo, Adam Anwar, Sami Abu Wardeh, and Fathiya Saleh.
