Newham Celebrates LGBT+ History Month 2026 

Newham is celebrating LGBT+ History Month 2026 from 1–28 February with a vibrant programme of events inspired by the theme ‘Science and Innovation’. The programme launches with the raising of the Pride Flag and a Queer Ecology talk at East Ham Town Hall. Throughout the month, there will be creative workshops from poetry to life drawing, theatre sharings, heritage exhibitions, film screenings, and markets spotlighting LGBT+ makers and entrepreneurs. There are also dedicated sessions for under 25s, exploring drag, sustainability and screen printing. Events take place across libraries, markets and community venues throughout the borough.
