Accessible transport

Taxicard

BSL Support

Taxicard is a scheme that provides subsidised transport for people who have serious mobility impairment and difficulty in using public transport.

The scheme is paid for by your Local Authority and Transport for London. It is administered on their behalf by London Councils.

Taxicard holders make journeys in licensed London taxis and private hire vehicles.

You can book the taxi by phone, online or through the booking app.

Your Local Authority subsidises a journey up to a maximum amount per trip and you will have to pay the remaining balance.

Taxicard holders will always pay a minimum contribution towards the fare.

You can use your Taxicard anytime, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, subject to taxi and private hire vehicle availability.

For more information on how to apply and details on the subsidy/ minimum contribution visit the London Councils Website.
