Help to quit smoking

Quit Well Newham – Healthier You Campaign

Quit Well Newham, ELFT and Newham Talking Therapies are encouraging the borough’s smokers to quit smoking as part of the Healthier You ‘campaign in January 2023.

Many smokers want to quit, but need the extra support to give up this habit. By joining Quit Well Newham, people are 4 times more likely to quit than if they were to try to do it on their own.

Smokers can save £167 per month from quitting. With the cost of living crisis affecting many residents, giving up smoking can help smokers save extra cash which can go towards essential household items.

Most of us are aware that quitting smoke could be good for our physical health, but you will also find there are benefits for mental health as well.

Newham Talking Therapies are running wellbeing workshops to support Newham residents to learn techniques that can help improve both their physical health as well as emotional wellbeing.

All Newham residents are encouraged to join. To register for the workshops visit https://forms.office.com/r/Ax9JznEKLf

Quit Well Newham are holding weekly drop-in sessions providing free, friendly advice on the many different ways to quit. The sessions will help people to choose the way to quit that works best for them. Please see the table below for more information on your nearest drop-in-session:
