Fire evacuation plans
If there is a fire or fire alarm sounds, your block will have its own evacuation plan. You will find this on your block notice boards and on notices throughout your building. Please follow the advice given for your building.
If your block fire safety notice advises you to ‘stay put’
-
If there is a fire in your flat, you should leave immediately and close any doors behind you if it is safe to do so.
-
If the fire is in any other part of your building, you should be safe to stay put.
-
If you are directly affected by fire, smoke or heat, you should leave the building.
-
Plan ahead for how your household will evacuate the building safely.
