Annual increments are payable until the maximum of the scale is reached (subject to the completion of 6 months satisfactory service within the grade by the employee, 12 months for newly qualified social workers).
Social work practitioners receive a double increment increase subject to meeting performance and quality standards.
Social workers and Practice Leaders also receive an additional annual recruitment and retention payment of £5k paid monthly and currently under review.
