Be part of shaping your library’s future
Newham Council has a statutory obligation to provide a comprehensive and efficient library service that meets the needs of residents in Newham. To ensure that the Council fulfils that obligation, we are working on a new 5-year strategy for the library service from 2027-2032.
Have your say by completing the Newham Libraries Survey
We would like your help to make our libraries even better. Tell us what’s good about your local library and what you think could be improved. By sharing your thoughts, you will help us to understand what we are doing well and what needs improvement. We will use this information to help us create a new strategy for delivering our library service.
Why Your Input Matters
We want our libraries to be relevant to and meet the needs of our local communities. Whether you are a regular library visitor, pop in occasionally or you have never been to one of our libraries, your thoughts will guide our planning and help us prioritise improvements.
What We Want to Know
- Your experience of using the library service.
- What services are important to you.
- Your ideas of what new services or improvements you would like to see at the library.
How to Participate
Complete the survey
Please visit our Newham co-create page to complete the online survey.
If you need support with completing the survey, visit your local library where a member of staff can guide you through the online process.
Paper versions of the survey are available at libraries and community centres. You can also request that a survey is sent to you by calling 0208 430 2000.
If you have any queries regarding the libraries resident survey, email libraries.engagement@newham.gov.uk.
Share the survey
We would like as many residents as possible to tell us about their experience of using Newham Libraries and what the library service could do better to support them. Please share the survey with your family, friends, neighbours and community and encourage them to complete it.
