Newham supports artists’ open call for World Reimagined project

Newham is a host borough and supporter of The World Reimagined project, which has extended its deadline for submissions by artists till 31 January 2022.

The World Reimagined project aims to take people on a Journey of Discovery, exploring nine themes to reimagine our past, present and future.

The nine themes are Mother Africa; the Reality of Being Enslaved, Stolen Legacy: The Rebirth of a Nation; Abolition & Emancipation; A Complex Triangle; Echoes in the Present; Still We Rise; Expanding Soul, and Reimagine the Future. For details of each, visit  https://www.theworldreimagined.org

Artists should make their submissions for this important project through the World Reimagined website by 5pm on 31 January 2022 through https://www.theworldreimagined.org/artistopencall

There are clear instructions on how to make a submission and what information artists will need to prepare in advance. When they are ready, artists can follow a simple form to enter their contact details, answer some practical questions and upload documents containing your designs and supporting information.

Judging will take place in February 2022 and artists will be informed of the outcomes in March.

The World Reimagined’s Artistic Director Ashley Shaw-Scott Adjaye said to prospective participants: “We want as many artists as possible to participate in our ground-breaking project. I would like to thank you personally for your interest in being involved with The World Reimagined. I wish you the very best of luck.”
