As part of our commitment to a digital future, we offer free digital and data skills training across the borough. From school students to small business owners, anyone interested in technology can gain new skills and explore the potential of AI and data.

Our Newham Learning and Skills recently launched a free 16 week course with Amazon Web Services in Cloud Computing. You can find out more about these courses at the Our Newham Learning and Skills homepage.
All libraries across Newham offer digital training, including Lego play, Code Club, Robot learning for beginners, Senior Digital Skills and Skills Enterprise Digital Assistance. You can explore these events at the Newham Libraries Events page.
Digital and Data enrichment in schools
Following the successful launch of our Data Ambassadors programme across three Newham schools, we’re excited to continue expanding our reach to both new and existing schools in the borough.
The programme is designed to inspire and equip young people for careers in data and digital tech. The programme includes:
- Training in data ethics
- Career guidance from industry professionals
- Interview preparation skills
- Office visits to experience real-world data environments
- An enterprise challenge session focused on solving everyday problems using data
We’re proud of the impact so far and look forward to building on this momentum to support even more young people in Newham.
