Newham’s annual Apprenticeship Fair brought together hundreds of job seekers with employers to mark National Apprenticeship Week 2026.
The event, run by Our Newham, saw representatives from digital, construction, and the creative economy eager to meet new recruits.
As well as coming face-to-face with prospective employers, visitors accessed live apprenticeship vacancies, received CV support, and took part in same day job matching.
The fair showcased how apprenticeships drive the Newham Growth Plan, which aims to boost inclusive growth, create good jobs and support local businesses.
One attendee, Sofia, described the event as transformative. She said “this event has been very helpful, and I have gained a lot of insight. It has been useful and has opened my eyes to the opportunities available in Newham for young people. I feel confident about my future prospects and assured that I will be supported in the next steps of my career progression.”
Our Newham continues to remove barriers to work by offering tailored careers guidance, early support and access to high quality training.
Events like the Apprenticeship Fair directly connect residents with employers and open secure, long term job opportunities.
